The first round of Finnish 1/10 Buggy National Championship was held at Vaasa, Finland. The track and also the weather were awesome whole weekend. In the 2wd class, Joona Haatanen (Team Associated) was fast and consistent as expected. After a couple of close runs in qualifying, Haatanen got the TQ spot. Finals were difficult beacause of the wind made big jumps harder and harder. Haatanen grabbed the win from his team mate Mikko Luopajärvi in second while Joel Valander (XRAY) came in third.
In the 4wd class, Valander was able to TQ Q1, Q2 and Q4 meaning the overall TQ. A1 was pretty easy for Valander as Joona Haatanen crashed on first lap. Valander was then able to pull the gap and take the win. A2 showed a super tight battle between Valander and Haatanen until Haatanen tried to pass Valander and touchs his XB4. His buggy ended up flying off the track but Valander managed to recovered to the second position. In A3 Haatanen overtook Valander early on after he made small bubbles. Valander put pressure on Haatanen hard and he was able to jump at the inside in the front table top to pass him and grabbed the win. Haatanen and Luopajärvi rounded out the top 3.
